North Woods soaps are made here in the North Woods Soap House from all natural flowers, grasses, herbs and moisturizing oils. The amount of lather produced by each soap style varies depending on the oil blend of the soap. The soap is mixed and poured, then following the incubation period is hand cut and allowed to cure. On average a bar of North Woods soap will last one month.
Mary finds experimenting in the soap lab no different than testing recipes in the kitchen lab. Some recipes are kept, some are discarded, and none are made available until they’ve achieved the perfection required to be labeled - Soap by Mary Joyce of the North Woods. Mary produces two varieties of soap in the soap kitchen, the Cold Process and the Melt and Pour.
